WHO ARE WE?
Marine & General (MG) Engineering is a privately owned South Australian Engineering company that was founded in 1995, celebrating more than 28 years as one of Australia's leading Marine Engineering Companies.
Our facility occupies 11,000m2 of prime river frontage on the Port River in Port Adelaide with a 400-tonne slipway. Our 3200m2 undercover workshop facility is conveniently located close to the Osborne Naval Shipyard precinct and Common User Facility.
Our slipway is accessible for modular sections including ship structures.

WHAT WE DO?
MG Engineering specialises in small to medium size projects with a proven track record in the fabrication and delivery of complex modular constructions primarily for defence but also other industries such as energy, resources and mining.
Our highly trained staff are qualified in complex welding and fabrication in a variety of materials including mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel and more exotic alloys.
MG Engineering also has the capability to design and construct 10-30m long steel hull vessels for the commercial maritime sector.

PLANT AND EQUIPMENT.
We have modern welding machines, calibrated regularly to conform to Australian standards. We utilise mainly GMAW, FCAW and TIG welding processes.
To support our welding, fabrication and marine work we have the following:
. 600 tonne break press
. Heavy duty plate rolling machine (up to 3100 wide and 50 mm thick)
. Plate beveller
. Plate notcher
. 2x EWP 45' and 65'
. Forklifts 16t, 5t and 2 t
. 3m 12mm guillotine
. Semi-Automatic band saw
. Overhead cranes (2x5t and 2x10t with a maximum underhook height of 10m)
. High pressure, high volume marine specification water pressure cleaner.
. Equipped trailers for site works and installation.
